Dheeraj Kumar
Mr. Dheeraj Kumar has currently a PhD research scholar at the Department of Physics, IIT Delhi since August 2021. He was awarded a prestigious fellowship namely Prime Minister Research Fellowship (PMRF)-2022 in January 2023 during the 10th cycle provided by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Before joining the IIT Delhi, He was working as a Junior Research Scholar at the Department of Physics and Astrophysics University of Delhi with (Late) Prof. Vinay Gupta. He has completed his Bachelor of Science Honors (Physics) from Kirori Mal College (KM College), University of Delhi and Master of Science from the Department of Physics and Astrophysics, University of Delhi. He also has done a Master of Technology in Optoelectronics and Optical Communications at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, New Delhi, India. Now, he is working in the field of optics and photonics and his research area is laser based solid state lighting with visible light communication. His main research area is to develop an innovative design of light source. The current research is focused on the development of the phosphor converted-laser diode-based white light source with a sun-like full-spectrum for white light tube light, light sheet, automobile headlights, general purpose bright illuminations, and simultaneous visible light communications.
